chronic cough post bariatric hiatial hernia suspected

Any experience with chronic cough related to bariatric surgery, hiatal hernia and a release of air from your stomach with gastric fumes when you open your mouth while laying down and occasionally standing which cause a corrosive feeling leading to non productive cough initially and ultimately producing a clear phloem. Doctors have said I have a hernia but do non seem concerned although have not found cause of 5 year cough. I am 8 years post surgery.
