Q: Chronic bone pain

I am 17 years old with chronic bone pain affecting my neck, shoulders, fingers, spine, hips, knees, and toes. The pain first began prior to be diagnosed with the flu over a year ago. A blood test was taken, and although it was shown that I had contracted parvovirus b19, it was unlikely that it was the cause when such an extended period of time had passed. It has been affecting the amount of physical activity in which I participate. An x-ray was taken and there were no results. My new doctor says that it is unnecessary to do an MRI because she doesn’t believe that it is neurological. The doctor prior to her believed that this pain is more usual for a 60 year old rather than a 17 year old.

I wonder how long it hs been since the flu? Do you feel like you have never gotten over it..I wonder if you have picked up an autoimmune disease such as Fibromyalgia?. My Fibromyalgia began with pneumoina I was out of work for a week and prior to that had been going to the gym 3-4 times a week and working out for 1.5 hrs..With the flu I felt horrible and my bones hurt-they never stopped even when the pneumonia was gone..Pain is pain and it matters not if you are 1-101 it does not recognize age nor does autoimmune diseases..Stay with the doctor and tell them you want to get answers-ask to see a Rheumatologist..Best of luck honey..
