Dear Doctor,
I am having problem with chronic belching/Flatulence right after i eat or drink anything. This has been with me for more than a month. In the beginning i had some kind of constipation (3 to 4 days to go to toilet) but now reduced to 1 or 2 days. The smell of my breath also changed as it became so me kind of rotten egg/sulfur smell.the stool and flatulence also smelling really bad.. And I can really feel that whatever I eat is not getting digested properly and i am Feeling very hungry 1 to 3 hours after eating. but i am having reoccuring fever at times ...The strange thing is that my wife also started having the same problem in the same period.

i have done almost all tests (Upper Endoscopy, blood, urine etc), as per the doctor all of them came back fine.. From the endoscopy result doctor say that I have very small hiatus hernia and it could the reason and I have to live with it. But I was not able to believe that as my wife also having almost all symptoms which I am having (she is pregnant)
I read somewhere that HIV infection may cause gas problem. i had 2 tests for that as well. But it came back negative...

Is there any additional test is warranted?i mean am i missing something to test it out ???What are the possible causes for this? is this some kind of food infection Please help me ..

possible giardia infection
the sulfur smell is totally indicative of giardia - if you'd had it before you would never forget it! It's a parasite that gets in water. I had a very close friend that battled a similar problem as yours for months, went thru several doctors, then when he went to an urgent care clinic one night really feeling awful they immediately diagnosed him and did a stool culture to prove it. He was given a course of Flagyl to treat it.Check it out.
