I have chronic back and leg and hip pain from failed back syndrome and nerve damage done by a bad surgeon. I had two fusions, l4,5, s1 and there was extreme nerve damage as the surgeon did not place the screws correct and they moved.
I have been treated with millions it seems of medications. I am currently on fentenyl and loritab, . I am not feeling like it controls me enough, plus I am tired all the time. THen like this month, my doc will not print the fentenyl patch script until the 30th day. Thus if you mess up one of the patches you go cold turkey a few days without it. My docs is getting too big, I will discuss with her my situatin on my upcoming appointment. I live in an area in NY that does not have a ton of reputable pain management, they have gone out of state. I have two small kids and I am depriving them of a good home life when I cannot feel good.
what other options medication do I have? IF I go to another city in NY state for pain management about an hour from here, does that raise eyebrows>? I live near Buffalo, and thot of going to Rochester< NY. I have heard they are better there. I only call within days of my script, usually by day 27-28 to get a refill so I do not run out as I did this month. I always get trouble from the nurses. I am so sick of it. I have also been nursing a sister who has cancer this year and it is making me worse, but my schedule is tight with limited timing. give me options and help please. Thanks.
