I've had a lot of righthanded pain since march. sometimes its so severe I can't move. the latest was the 6th I was in A&E - I had morphine & I was still in severe pain on contact. I've read up a lot chronic appendicitis & think it may be related. I've been told today but my GP today is I have chronic pain, the doctor in A&E said my appendix sounds to be grumbling. my latest bloods were CWB - 13, CRP - 30. I'm really sore & fed up. I'm getting prescribed painkillers onto painkillers onto painkillers which aren't doing anything.

would there be any way of getting it removed on the NHS before it goes acute? I'm so so fed up of it. :'(

Welcome to e health forum.

In case your symptoms are severe and your doctors have suspected appendicular inflammation, then getting a CT scan should help know the severity of the condition.

Presence of severe changes would be a emergency and immediate surgery would be indicated.

In case the findings are minimal, and not serious enough antibiotic therapy as well as pain management would be indicated.
