everytime I eat anything, drink anything, or even take medications, I choke, and vomit whatever it was! i'm miserable and incredibly hungry! I'm a 25yr old female, and I don't understand what is happening, I went to the doctor and she didn't seem to concerned but it scares me! Everytime I vomit it's just mucus.. and what ever food it somewhat resembles a soggy kleenex. I continue clearing my throat until, it stops for a bit, and then it starts again. I didn't start out vomiting, just choking, and I would finally get it down, and I was fine. Now its to the point, where you see people getting up and making their way over to help me! Can anyone help me!?!?!

i can't help, only sympathize. I have something similar to this, but it doesn't happen all the time. It usually happens whenever i take tablets and every couple of weeks while eating. I think it would happen more whgile eating except i am now very strict about swallowing tiny amounts and washing it down with lots of water.

For me too, I previously didn't vomit either, but now it just happens spontaneously with no warning. its happened when i'm eating out with people and is embarrassing and frightening.

it's the same with the tablets too. I used to be able to swallow large capsules with no problems. Now I have to cut a normal tablet into four pieces to avoid that horrible burning feeling in my throat.

I'm a 23yr old female. I went to the doctors a couple of years ago, and had a barium swallow test, which showed nothing unusual. The doctor dismissed it and told me to eat slower and chew more, which i found very inadequate advice. I'm going to get a referral to a ENT, as it seems GPs aren't going to be much help with this.
