My friend told me that swimming (chlorine) cures acne because it kills the bacteria. She used to be on the swim team in HS and never had acne on her body...then when she stopped swimming she did. And now she is going to start swimming again and she told me that swimming cures acne. Does anyone know if this is true? I use benzaclin and retin-a micro but I still break out occasionally..would swimming really help? Thanks!

when i swam every now and then, say once a week or once a fortnight, the chlorine dried my skin out a little so my acne felt refreshed. however when i increased it to two or times a week the chlorine dried my skin out too much, making my acne worse.
