Q: Chlamydia transmission information
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 27th, 2009
I recently used a douche that I had back in December or January when I was infected with Clamydia. Is there any chance that the infection was still present on the douche when I used it??

Chlamydia is a kind of bacteria that lives inside the human cells. That is why it has to be transmitted directly from one body to another and can not survive for very long in an outside environment. So it is unlikely that there is Chlamydia, originating from you, present on the douche that you have used several months ago.
