Chlamydia

I have Conjunctivitis for about 3 months now. The main symptoms have gone away when I used Chloramphenicol but I'm still getting discharge in the evening and in the morning. I went to my GP again who sent me to my Optitions. I have wore my contact lens within this period which I was told may have kept the virus infection in my eyes. I was told to buy some more Chloramphenicol use it for 2 weeks 4 times a day without fail and not to wear my contacts. But after doing some research of my own I learned that if you are infected with Chlamydia some symptoms could be Conjuncivitis. I have not had unprotected sex in 3 years but I also now that Chlamydia can have no symptoms and go unteated. Other than my eyes being infected I have no other symptoms. I plan on getting tested anyways but I was wondering if this is what it very possibly could be?
