chlamydia false positive?

a couple months ago i was to told i had chlamydia and my only sex partner i've had sex with my whole life dosent have it, so i still took the medecine and after my two weeks was up and i had got another pap to see if the infection was gone and it was.Now me and my partner been together for four years and i've been scared to have sex without an condom. i want to know when we want to have children and have to have sex without an condom will it say i have that infection again? if everytime he get checks for it he dosent have it, how can i be sure to know it wont say i have it again?
