yes this is possible for it to hind for so long, Im surprised you didnt get tested at the same time as your wife when she was positive.
If you have found out now im sure the doctor has put you on the right medication to treat it, make sure you stick to rules, and if need be after the treatment is complete go and test again in 3 months to make sure your all clear, Good luck, Sarah

I have been with the same partner for two years. shortly afer we started having sex i contracted herpes and hpv. i did not have the standard pap done bc of my outbreak. Recently i had a pap done and it came back positive for chlamydia, and my pre-cancerous cell reading for my hpv doesnt look good. I have never had any signs or symptoms of chlamydia, nor my partner. is it possible one of us had it for three or more years WITHOUT SYMPTOMS? neither of us has ever had this before so i wanted to know how long two ppl can have this and not know? basically did my partner cheat, or could one of us have had it for this long without realizing it?

I have been reading up on chlamydia as by doctor says I have it and that it is an STD. She says there can be a dormant period - my husband died just over 5 years ago in a car wreck and I have not been with anyone since him. Lately I have had a few issues and have had some polyps removed and my doctor said this may have stirred it up. Has anyone had a similar problem? I felt quiet irate when she said it was an STD when I have not been active. I saw on wiki where there is all sorts of junk from people saying it has to be sexual - well I have either got it from some form of non sexual contact or have had it for a long time. Appreciate any feedback. K
