I was positive for chlamydia and they prescribed me azithromycin for oral suspension a single dose. I took it a week ago today, i was on my period when i took it and im not sure if that was a problem and did not help treat my symptoms. I still have discharge but not as bad. Could it be that my period interfered with treatment?

No, your period should not have any effect on the effectiveness of the medication. I would give it more time to see if the medicine works.
