Can someone please help me? I cant sleep or stop crying. I need someone to talk to. I dont want to talk to any of my friends, because I cant trust any of them....and I cant even trust my own mother. I just found out today while I was at work...so I wasnt able to leave to get my meds. This clinic wont be open again until Tuesday. Its driving me nuts...I cant wait until then

Years ago I met this wonderful (at least I thought so until...) who gave me a treatable / curable std.

Honestly, I had no clue that I had anything, no symptoms what-so-ever...I went overseas to visit him and what did I bring back...std.

I was notified by one of our medical officers (I was in the service) that such and such had been dx'd with such and such so he had to list ALL of his sexual partners (and to think I believed I was his only one)...so I had to take medication and get some sort of test afterwards...got a clean bill of health once treatment was over and later married and had two children.

Thank you for your responses. Ill try and relax and not think about it. I dont feel like doing anything until then, I dont even wanna bare my face in public I am so embarrased and ashamed. Its just that I have the most respect for my body...and then to be brought down by this. I just hope there is no permanent damage.

Did he say how he was tested? If he says 'blood'...it can not be detected that way.

A urine test is not as sensitve as a swab.

Ok so I just got my medication yesterday. My nurse said I have to get a check up 3 months from now to see if its cleared or not. I had already planned on it, but does that mean I should not have sex until then? Just curious. And thanks for all the responses. I do use condoms, but since we been exclusive for so long we didnt see it being necessary of having 2 forms of birth control. Thank you!!!

I got tested years ago but i lost my phone and because i didnt have any symptoms i didnt think anything of it!! then 7 months later i got tested again and found i had chlamydia and i had it when i was tested the first time! so i have worked it out and had chlamydia for atleast a year before finding out!!

I have now met the guy i want to spend the rest of my life with and came off the pill 6 months ago and still havent conceived, every one around me is having children and i can't bear it cos i really think i could be damaged and unable to conceive!

I'm seeing the gyn on monday to be checked over because i'm worried and i cant stop thinking about it, its drivin g me insane!

I dont know what i would do if can't have children, i think my world would end.

Ok my paranoia isnt helping me much. I need a pretty confident answer from someone. Its been almost 2 months since I have been treated. I went to the clinic to see if I can get tested again to see if I was clear of it, but she explained that its too early to test again because they can give off false negatives or positives. Devastated I went home with no good news. But I was on the "doxycycline" antibiotic for one week, twice a day. I took the meds and my discharge disappeared. But im worried I still have it. They wont let me test again until July 28th. Im afraid to start a new relationship with someone. I just need to know the chances of this STD not clearing up like it should be, its driving me absolute bonkers and crosses my mind atleast 3 times a day...I need some peace of mind.

I regret this evry day because I wish I would have been able to have another child.

Omg. No that just makes it worse. Im sorry to hear that, it would devastate me. I still have abdominal pains...I dunno if its pms related or not...what would I do if I cant have babies?
