I have chip on my molar. it's right on the spot I had resin filling couple years ago. Very little of the filling is left. I had a silver filling 25 years ago in China. It's still good. I want to get a silver filling on the chipped molar but the dentist said he had stopped using silver filling many years ago. Why dentists choose not to use silver now that it last longer than resin. I don't see any side effect on me from the mercury. So I would like to know what is the best treatment I should go for. Thanks
