what does it mean when a child had yellow puss coming out of her eye and it is swollen somtimes and you have to bath it to help open her eye in the morning. She also has a runny nose.

i would assume she has a cold of some sort...does she have fever too?

I would call your pediatrician just in case.

How old is the child? If it is a baby under six months, it could easily be a blocked tear duct.
