I have a friend who chews and spits alot and she's not ashamed of it at all. I've seen her "eat" entire pizzas and a whole batch of cookie dough but she spits it all out and rinses her mouth out after each bite and spits into a cup... I'm just curious if she's actually consuming a lot more calories than she thinks she is? Or if the chewing and spitting thing isn't that bad.. I know she eats healthy stuff and swallows it but she only spits the "bad" stuff.

chewing and spitting
This is an eating disorder or part of an eating disorder. Not to be taken lightly.A friend of mine found a little weight loss with anorexia, but needed the food she would put food in her mouth, but was afraid to gain those few pounds back so she would spit and like you said rinse with water. Also know that some people with EDs go in and out of them, showing no signs of an ED for periods of time and then going back to those habits when it suits them.
