I will start a quick history. I am 34 years old female. diagnosed 1 year ago with MVP and dilated IVC. Menopause due to full hysterectomy 2 years ago. Father died 45 massive heart attack due to 90% blockage in all four valves. Also mother has angina sinse 40.
I get very short of breath, tightness in my chest and sometimes the pain goes to the side of my neck down my left arm. Sometimes it is both arms. I am also very tired. My heart rate at rest is 96. I tried jogging thinking i was just out of shape and within less than two minutes my chest began to hurt under my left breast and my heart rate was already to 180 something. I experience these symptoms even when i am at rest.
Does this sound like it could be my heart? Or am i just being paranoid due to my family history and being at high risk and it could be symptoms of something else far less serious?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

i had the same problem you have (shortness of breath, chest pains, and pain near breast) near te left side of my chest where my heart is located. for this reason it scared me.
i had a stress test done. this is when i ran on a treadmill while they monitor my heart rate. i also went under this large machine that rotate over my body.
they didnt find anything and my symptoms went away. this was the time i was on blood pressure meds. & high cholesterol meds. i had side effects from them so now i m taking omega 3 fish oils and my blood pressure is fine.

The fact that you are feeling something is an indication that there is something wrong. Getting a good scheduled check-up with your doctor get all medical questions answered concerning about your health

Hi ciao,

No, you are not being paranoid, please go to the doctor, tell them your family history and have them run tests. Your body warning you there is a problem...go have it checked out.

Good Luck,
