Chest pains and trouble breathing
Posted: 01-21-08 01:42am

The last few days, I've been having some chest pains. And it seems to get increasingly worst. The last time this happened, I ended up in the ER because it got so bad I was having trouble breathing and I was gasping for air. It always seems to be my left side that bothers me worst. It hurts to take a deep breath and laying down is uncomfortable because it just feels like there's more pressure against my chest when I do. I'm trying my best to stay calm and breathe normally. But the pains are increasing.

But this is just really bad timing, because I'm going back to college. And my first day is on Tuesday, and I can't be feeling like this. After months of doing okay.

I'm hoping it's just a fluke. The last episode of chest pains I had was last July, and I never did find out why. I spent a few days in the hospitals and they never did give me an answer to why it happened because all the tests came back inconclusive.

Wish me luck.

This happens to me from time to time, when it first happened to me I didnt know what to do, I had a high fever and chest pains, it took me a while before i went to the ER, but when i went they kept me for a few days just like they are doing you, The second time it happend i went the very same day and they told me that my blood count was extremely low and I ended up getting two blood transfusions that visit. My advice to you is to go to the ER as soon as you can because if your blood count is low and you are experiencing very bad anemia then your heart is working more then it needs to be and it may be stressed out and enlarged. But definately go if you havent been already.
