I've been having a ton of symtoms that are blown off as anxiety, i hope it is that simple but its frustrating and scary for me to think somethings wrong with me and Dr.'s blow it off.
Heart Fluttering
Throat feels like its closing up
chest pains
Heart Pounding
Numbness in left arm and leg
pain in left arm and leg
Brain burning
heart burning
indigestion?
heart feeling cold
weakness
shortness of breath
headachs

and the list goes on...i also feel alone and when i have some of these it feels like they're fatal. When it first started happening to me a month ago i went to dr.'s, cardiologists etc, now when it happens i just ignore it, i don't think thats the way to go but no ones helping me. I havn't slept in weeks unless someone sleeps with me, its really hard. Should i just keep ignoring it?
and no, nothings bothering me, no changes in my life, no ones upseting me, nothing just the situation.

Hi Jess, I also take Xanax for a lot of those same symptoms. I have to agree with your doc this time. It was just recently that I accepted my symptoms as anxiety and I feel so much better. If you decide to seek help from a psychiatrist he/she can help you with your anxiety with medication and therapy if that's the route you want to take. There are some natural remedies out there too, which I would like to begin trying myself. I've heard St. John's Wort is really good for anxiety and depression. I was thinking of trying it myself and you can get it in most stores that sell vitamins and over the counter medications. Personally, I would suggest trying the natural remedy route first and see if it works. I hope this helps and I also hope you feel better soon.

I have to agree, I feel that its anxiety. I did go through a stressfull time that brought mine on, but im over what went on and the symptoms are still alive even though im not upset. Shaky hands, heart fluttering, tightness in the throat, all signs of anxiety. Im not big on meds, i have just started using 5-htp, an herbal suppliment, try and read up on it, or maybe talk with your dr. about vistaril, it has a calming effect with no crazy side effects like anti-anxiety meds.

I've been taking Vistaril too and I agree that it works well. I've taken myself off my Lexapro and I'm really feeling great as I've been taking Omega 3 fish oil and I started the St. John's Wort. They seem to work well together for me. There are so many alternative natural supplements out there to help with anxiety if you don't want to be on meds. Have your Magnesium levels checked to make sure you're not low on that. That can cause anxiety.

It definately sounds like Panix attacks, you will swear that you are dying, especially from a heart attack cause your heart can hurt and your hyperventilating causing you to be dizzy; Xanax has worked best for me always. Doctors are really starting to clue into this disorder, so don't give up and believe me, you are not alone! But it sure feels that way. Especially at first, some doctors aren't real clued in yet and make you feel like you are over exagerating. For me I found out that it was linked directly to hormone inbalance, as it has much subsided since my hysterectomy, and came on me on the onset of puberty.
