To whom it may concern,i have a question for you about my sharp pain in my left or my chest, every time i breath it hurts and i been coughing like crazy. i also have flema inside my lungs beacause every time i cough it trys to come out but nothing comes out. i been like this for 2 weeks already and it hasnt went away! i havent took any medication for this but just drinking cold water and hot tea. i was wondering can i have walking phoemona or regular phoemona or what could be causeing this?? my throat hurts for coughing so much to! like now every breath i take im gasping for air or cant real breath normal! what could i do or take for this stuff i have! i cant even sleep at night, without coughing and breathing laying down trying to go to sleep. so i use 5 pillows behind me to seat up to try to sleep. to whom it may concern what shall i do??? it dont feel like a regular cold either! it started with fever and chills and sweat in the night when im sleepin, then afew days later i got this

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

Fever with chills followed by cough and chest pain mainly points toward a lung pathology like pneumonia along with inflammation of the pleura causing pleuritis. You should ideally get an X-ray of the chest, complete blood count and maybe a pulmonary function test. You will need antibiotics probably.

Meanwhile take steam twice a day along with a decongestant. Consult a doctor ASAP. Hope this helps. Take care!
