My 27 yr old son has been to the ER twice in the last 2 days with chest pain, lt arm numbness, high blood pressure and dzziness. All of the usual tests were done. All normal, both times. He had the same symptoms about 6-7 yes ago. All tests (EKG's, ECHO's, stress test, etc) all normal. His b/p goes up sometimes. I think that it is stress, but am still concerned that the docs are missing something. What do you think?

I would say you are right that it is stress...The panic attacks bring on fear...It is then that the person must fight themselves...Go to another place in their mind...The more they worry about their having a heart attack, the higher the blood pressure goes...It's like a revolving door...You get in the circle of worry and can't stop it...Tell him to relax as soon as he feels it coming on...Lay back on a bed if he is home, or go somewhere else in his mind...Change the pattern of his thinking....No, I don't think the doctors are missing anything...Just as they weren't missing anything with me when I had them....Take care....
