Hello, I am a 20 year old healthy male and have been experiencing light chest pain, usually mildly sharp and only lasts a few seconds. Also it feels like if i am just sitting i can feel my heart beat throughout my body, not real intense but noticably. At night it will also feel as if my insides feel fluttering or shaking as well. Have been to the doctor, had an ekg, and everything was fine. Also usually run at least 2 miles a day so i dont think there is any need for a stress test. For a while I was only getting the chest pain now in the past week it feels like im beggining to feel flutters and heart beat. Could it be anxiety? If you have any answers or suggestions to whats happening please help its driving me crazy. Thank you!

It is most likely anxiety. what you're experiencing is a mild panic attack. If you saw a regular doctor, talk to him about it again. It is possible for one to have a heart attack at a young age, but also extremely rare and if you saw a doctor regularly when younger, it would have been detected. You have age on your side as well.

Rapid Heart beat
My 16 year old son had the exact sypmtoms your describing. He was just diagnosed last week with SVT's (supraventricular tachycardia). His doctor did an EKG and everything looked fine too. He then had him wear a holter monitor for 24 hours and it picked up the SVT's. He just started taking Atenol for it, we'll hope it helps. Perhaps you should ask your doctor for a holter monitor as well.
