My friend who is 70 years old had to go to the hospital for evaluation after he had chest pain,he said he felt weak and dizzy after a walk around the block that morning. The chest pain was after feeling dizzy and it went away after resting. It has been going on for like 2 months. He was told he had slioght heart murmur several years ago but beside that he is healthy.

A chest radiograph showed an elraged haert and a vauge area of calcification at the base of the hear in the region of the aortic valve.Cardiac enzymes and other lab test were normal. And an EKG showed atrial fibrillation and left ventricular hepertrophy. So he was advised to replace his valve and he did that and was kind of doing well for a while but now has sign and symptoms of aortic regurgitation acording to the doctor.

So any idea what is wrong with him or what i can do about it???

Extremely eHealthy
Symptoms he has are result of ventricular hypertrophy he had developed over years.
Aortic valve stenosis and aortic valve regurgitation are factors that made his heart working harder and resulted in enlargement (hypertrophy) of the muscle tissue that makes up the wall of the heart's main pumping chamber (left ventricle).
Shortness of breath, chest pain, sensation of rapid, fluttering or pounding heartbeats, dizziness, fainting, rapid exhaustion with physical activity, are symptoms of ventricular hypertrophy.
Replacing valves and controlling hypertension are main treatment options.
He needs to watch for his diet, too.
Sometimes, blood vessels of the heart are checked for atherosclerotic changes (to see if the blood vessels are narrowed or blocked).
Regular heart monitoring is important since this condition can lead to sudden heart failure.

Best wishes!
