Hi im a 47 yr old male...
190 lbs 5.8...in what i think good health..
my work has quite a bit of pressure but in no way i think this is related to my work..
married with 3 kids...family situation stressfull due to inlaws..however i again dont think this is related but......

here are the symptoms and they occur very rare maybe 2 times to 4 a year..and has been going on for at least 8-10 yrs..although not frequent they are nontheless stressfull to me...

heavy chest feeling with cramping i would call it....
the pain bareble but intense radiating to my back and upwards towards the neck with what feels like a very mild cramp in neck muscles..and a faint feeling of this pain in the back of my eye sockets.
i notice that if im lying in bed and i stretch different ways it feels so good and relief...for a few minutes untill a new wave comes ...again changing/stretching a different position gives relief for a bit...
so stretching does relieve the symptom but does not aleviate..

the middle of my chest by the bottom of the sternum is tender to the touch.....no palpitations..... occasionally a feeling of gas and some times (embarrassed to say passing gas)
The heaviness in the chest is like a very heavy object is placed there and the pain radiates to the left and to the right of the center of my chest...

Taking Extra strength Tylenol seems to after 30 to 40 minutes calm the symptoms down....most of the time

going to the Doctor this week but please let me know what you think

Thank you very much

Dr. reply...
Wants me to have a stress test..
Hmmm
somehow i dont think this is the problem
this sort of pain is also manifesting itself as a pain someone would experience when a "stitch" is felt but lasts and lasts//
have not had since i posted ...
when i press in the middle of the sternum it feels tender and very low level pai.

have had a pinched nerve in my back so did not do the stress test yet...
Any ideas?
