I would need a bit more information as there are many causes of pain on the left side of the chest, from muscle strains to heart disease. If you have episodes of left sided chest pain you should see a medical practitioner. If you also have trouble breathing, nausea, or palpitations or if you have risk factors for heart disease like age > 40, smoking, high cholesterol, early onset heart disease in family members, or obesity, then you should see a medical practitioner right away.
