I have many things wrong with me. Its hard to separate one symptom from another. My doc said my lungs are fine, but im not so sure. Been smoking cigs and marijuana regularly for 4 years. I have high cholesterol, triglycerides and kidney count. I'm on divalproex (750mg/day), zoloft (100mg) and amitriptyline (50mg)

The chest discomfort isn't pain, just annoying. But if I smoke weed, the discomfort tenses up my muscles and gives me back pain. I'm also very gassy lately and have been taking nexium. My stomach often feels like I'm sucking it in, when I'm not. Oddly, the one thing that relieves some of the chest discomfort is resting my arm snug across my stomach. We ran many heart related tests, EKG and such, and they all were negative. Seemingly the lungs would be the closest in proximity. I currently have a wheeze and although I wouldnt say that im short of breath, it definitely feels a bit thicker or heavier as the air travels in and out.

Not sure if it is relevant, but I often get the shakes just before the chest discomfort is coupled with back pain; though the back pain is infrequent.

Does the chest pain feel at all like heartburn? It could be something like Gastroesophageal reflux disease.

The symptoms are:
Heartburn
Involves a burning pain in the chest (under the breastbone)
Increased by bending, stooping, lying down, or eating
Relieved by antacids
More frequent or worse at night
Belching
Regurgitation of food
Nausea and vomiting
Vomiting blood
Hoarseness or change in voice
Sore throat
Difficulty swallowing
Cough or wheezing

Your chest pain and wheezing both point to something along these lines. Here is a good website with more info: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/ar ticle/000265.htm

Hope it helps!
