22 year old male with athletic build and no history of any serious medical problems.
Over the last 4 months, I've had increasing pain in many parts of my body. It originally began with small, random, sharp aches in the head. Then it progressed to pain in the abdomen and chest. Also, when I run, I feel a strong dull pain on my spine between my shoulder blades.
The aches are very strange in my chest and abdomen. Last night when I pinched my skin with some fat directly under my sternum as I sat, I felt a sharp pain in my ribs right near my heart. If I press into my abdomen about 1/2 an inch below my sternum, there's a sharp pain inside. There was a period of 2 or 3 weeks when my head pains were full blown daily headaches, but now they're back to random pangs or just mild headaches. This was also a time when I suffered from extreme fatigue, not being able to make it through the day even on 10 hours of sleep. Instead, I've been having more pain in my chest and abdomen. Sometimes when I take in a deep breath, I feel very sharp pains in my abdomen and chest. My ribs are also pretty sensitive to the touch. Any pressure at all on them causes mild pain. My back muscles get sore too as the day moves along and my neck stiffens a bit. One thing I have noticed is that my symptoms tend to get worse over the course of the day.
A few week ago, my CPK was at 400. Blood tests for Comp. Metabolic Panel and blood cells were normal. I don't have results yet for recent chest and neck X-rays and another blood test. I haven't noticed any other symptoms at all. I've seen several doctors and none of them have any idea what's wrong. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
