Q: Changes in color of menstrual blood

i had sex with my boyfriend on this 26.but before that i had emergency contraceptive pills around 21.
we had it without a condom.
but he did not left it in there.
now as this is the time for my periods to start.
i am having menses but i think it is not normal.
its brown in colour.
pl help.

Menstruation blood can vary in color from pink and light red to brown and even black. Brown color of menstruation blood usually originates from more matured tissue. It is not a reason for a check up with a gynecologist, unless there are severe cramps, additional discharge, fever and itching.
