Hi. This is regarding the change in my period cycle. Normally my cycle is 29 days exact. For Aug and Sep cycles when I was under Letoval, my cycles were short at 23 days itself. In Oct i had a hysterscopy done and my period happened in 26 days. Since then my period days are varied Dec-31days, Jan-32 days and now Feb -25days. I would like to know whether it is something to be worried about as I am trying for pregnancy. The period flow has also reduced a lot in the past few cycles and lasts only for 3 days with very minimal spotting on days4/5. No major discrepanies noted during the hysteroscopy

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Having variation of +/- 5-10 days in menstrual cycle length is considered to be normal. The change in period pattern could also be suggestive of hormonal imbalances, thyroid abnormality, ovarian cysts, PCOD, etc. The exact cause can only be made out after careful evaluation. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination and further evaluation to look for the underlying cause for the changed period pattern that you describe. Treatment as needed (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you regulate your periods and get pregnant. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
