Q: Chances of her getting pregnant?

I had sex with my girl friend on Friday (the 3rd) and her period is suppose to show up either really late tonight or tomorrow (6th or 7th). Shes been on the pill for almost a year and she never forgets to take it. She takes it at noon every single day. We don't use condoms because she doesn't like the way they feel.

Anyways, on Friday we decided to have sex pretty quickly before going out to see a movie. We had sex the day before and as I said, we did it quickly this time so I didn't ejaculate very much. Even though shes on the pill we still don't like the idea of me ejaculating inside. I think this time I might have pulled out slightly too late. I definitely ejaculated outside her, but it felt like I might of gotten a really small amount inside her as I was almost out of her while pulling out.

She reached inside and pulled out her fingers and no sperm was seen so then we went in to the bathroom and I had her open herself up so I could see better. I didn't see anything that looked like semen so I asked her to push to see if any would come out and nothing came out.

So I basically want to know what the chances of her getting pregnant are if

- Shes been on the pill almost a year and never missed it a single day (always takes it at the same time too).
- I didn't ejaculate much.
- If I did ejaculate inside her, it would have been very close to her entrance and not deep inside.
- Right afterward she urinated and took a shower.

How old are the two of you?

You sound pretty safe, as long as she's on the pill, but it doesn't always work.

The ONLY way to prevent pregnancy is NOT to have sex. If you insist on having sex you need to be prepared to take on the responsibility of becoming a mother & father.

We are both 20 and have been having sex for about two years. We made the decision to stop using condoms after she was on the pill for a month.

you sound pretty safe. its very rare to get pregnant from pre-cum. if she's on the pill she should be ok. next time this happens and you think stuff got inside get the plan B pill, its like 50$. it stops women from ovulating.

I figured since this happened so close to her period that the Plan B pill would be a waste (she didn't seem too concerned either). As far as I know most women ovulate around two weeks after there last period, correct?

Actually
WOmen ovulate the three days before their period, meaning she was extremely fertile when this happened. I'd strongly suggest the morning after pill and then you start using condoms or at minimum spermicidal lube. If you using condoms isn't ok with her then you have to face the reality that there is a chance thet she'll become pregnant and its her choice alone if she decides to have an abortion so you may become a father. You don't have to have unprotected sex with her if you don't want, if she refuses protected sex then if you want to continue enjoying a sex life you may have to find someone else who would be ok with protected sex.

Phenicks, please tell us where you got your medical knowledge of when women ovulate. It would be highly enlightening to know where NOT to go.

To the OP, you are correct, mostly. Women ovulate 14 days before their NEXT period. But women do not ovulate at all on birth control. So you are pretty safe.

The morning after pill is unnecessary while she is taking the pill.

these people would not be a parent of the unwanted child you could produce if she doesn't get Plan B or if you don't start using condoms. Its much better to be safe than sorry. Remember as a man you have NO say so or choice in whethe or not she has an abortion or when she has it. The only thing you can do is wear a condom and hope for the best. DO what you can to prevent you from becoming a father.

hmm.. not so sure about the above poster but on just about every birth control website it says you don't ovulate while on birth control.. that's the entire point of birth control.. no egg to fertilize, therefore no babies.. don't feel bad uncivi1, i'm going through the same worries other than we always use withdrawal method and birth control at the same time.. her body chemistry could be messed up, and any stress or excitement can also delay a period.. my suggestion is to wait two weeks and take a pregnancy test, because it usually takes about 12 days after a missed period to be sure.

even if u did ejaculate inside her, I would not be worried... birth controls PREVENT OVULATION FROM EVER OCCURRING ALL DAY EVERY DAY. that is the point of taking the pill.
if she takes her pills every day then you have no need to be concerned.
