chances of getting pregnant after stopping birth control..

hey so i have been taking tri cyclen lo and onto my 3rd pack now.. my bf and i are both virgins so the plan was to use this b/c anytime upto a year since we are very worried about nottt getting pregnant..we figured us it until we get the hang of sex and using a condom probably and comfortable they wont break ect. so my question is after a few months more if i go off the birth control after sex will i be more fertile then? I've heard that many women cant get pregnant for a few months though until even a year after stopping birth control (but thats more common in people who have been on it for years, i heard) so now if i stay on it less then a year will my chance and likely hood to concieve go back to my chances as before or ive read some stuff online saying the chances are higher when you go off the birth control? which is true? anyone please! ..we would go by just days when i should be ovulating (avoiding mid-cycle ) and using a condom ...would it not be as safe and would i be very likely more so to get pregnant then before i started the birth control!
