i had a chalazion removal today that was found in my down eye lid
i searched the internet to get some info because i am not a doctor and saw that i shouldn't expose my eye to water even if i was showering for 7-10 days after the surgery.
but my doctor who did the surgery told me to remove the eye cover after 1 day and then wash my face many times with warm water and meet him the next day to see how did the surgery go

so my question
do i wash my eye like my doctor said with warm water or don't like the internet said?

Chalazion removal surgery
I have a Chalazion I have to remove surgically in a few days, or so. And yes, warm water is very helpful. It's the only way to remove any bumps or scar tissue, along with eyedrops etc.

Question: How long did it take you to go back to work or school ater the surgery. In other words, how long did it take to heel so one can get on with your their life?

chalazion surgery
I would advise against the surgery. It's not painful but very traumatic. I almost passed out, even though it only take 10 minutes total. The feeling of not being able to blink is terrible. Also, I never got any bandages and I was able to drive right afterwards. In fact, I went back to work. But the bottom line is, the surgery didn't work. I got two back in 2 months. I would recommend the injection. However, I also have a question: I had the surgery and a smaller one came back in the same spot. I also got a larger one in a different spot. So, I got 2 injections after home therapy did not work. The injections worked to get rid of the bumps but seven weeks after the injections, my eyelid seems disfigured. It doesn't match my other one at all and is reddish pretty much all the time. The doctor said I was cured but couldn't say if my eyelid would ever be the same! What can I do???
