My ear Doctor says I need a sorta spackle job on the skull above my left ear and that the bone above the right ear is looking pretty thin. May need repair later. I am 70 years old, fought leukemia. But am tired of fluid leaking out of ear and dropping down on my clothes.
He wants my spinal fluid pressure checked incase it is too high. My children think there is nothing wrong with me and sorta of a "Suck it up Buttercup" attitude. Since I am afraid of menigitis....what are my options.

Extremely eHealthy
Otorrhea or ear leakage, along with other symptoms happens in leukemic patients when the malignant process has spread to the temporal bone (bone located at the side and base of the skull, even forming a part of the ear).
Another possible scenario, is Necrotizing external otitis (infection of outer ear has spread to temporal bone as a complication, leading to complain of severe ear pain that worsens at night, and ear leakage).
This complicated outer ear infection, usually, happens in adults with compromised immune system (as a leukemia sufferer you belong to that category).

Ask for second opinion!
Best wishes!
