For the past few days i've been having extreme pain during sex and also a burning sensation in my vagina while I'm just walking around. Period is 1 week late and I have period cramps. I stopped the birth control 2 months ago. Upon closer inspection today, my vagina is all raw and there was a cottage cheese like discharge, eww!! Not much of it and it doesn't smell....but do you think it is thrush?

I had a sexual health check up on the 8th and everything came back negative so it wouldn't be an STD? (although I did have unprotected sex on the 17th, positive he doesn't have anything as i have been with him plenty of times before...and he also didn't ejaculate which would minimize some of the risk).

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Pain and discomfort with intercourse, change in appearance and consistency of vaginal discharge, burning sensation, raw appearance of vagina, all indicate possibility of vaginal infection (not necessarily STD). Consider visiting your gynecologist for a thorough check along with getting a vaginal swab and culture test done from vaginal discharge to identify causative organism. If infection is detected, get both you and your partner treated simultaneously. Avoid having intercourse while being on treatment to prevent chances of re-infection.
Take care.
