Please explain electric ironing? Do you mean electrocautery? And from what I know about cervical ulcers, there are three options for treating them: electrocautery, cryotherapy or the LEEP procedure. All have about the same results.

Thanks for your reply i think it is the same electrocautery. is there any side effect ? is there any better soluation for my case? because my Dr. didn't give my any antibiotec or any medication and she is going to proceed with the electrocautery. what's your openion? and is it painful?as i heard that Cryotherapy is smoother and less pain.

Well, to be honest, I have not had cervical erosion. I did, however, have cervical cancer, which they cleared up with a combination of LEEP and electrocautery. I did not receive antibiotics as they are really unnecessary. I was told to take Advil or Tylenol before the procedure. No Aspirin or Aspirin containing products as they thin the blood and can make you bleed quite a bit. The most painful part was the insertion of the colposcope, the thing they use to view the cervix. The needle that they use to give you local anesthetic didn't hurt too bad, just a pinch. I did not feel anything else. They stick this strange brownish clumpy stuff in your vagina after the procedure. It stops any bleeding and also has a built in antibiotic. I really felt no pain afterward. Cryotherapy, from what I heard from a friend, is a bit more painful, as they are basically freezing the ulcers with liquid nitrogen. I actually had a plantar wart (wart that grows on the sole of your palm or foot)removed via cryotherapy, and it got really cold and then burned really bad. I cannot imagine how it would feel to have it done to my cervix. All in all you should ask your doctor any questions regarding your procedure and ask about the risks/benefits of cryotherapy vs the electrocautery. I am proud to say that I have no other cancerous lesions and have been cancer-free for a year now. Best of luck to you.
