Q: Cervical cancer
asked by: DoctorQuestion on April 15th, 2008
My stepdaughter has been told she has cervical cancer. She is also pregnant, about 8 to 10 weeks. She was also told that the cervical cancer may have spread to her left ovary. Is that possible? She is 25 years old and has 2 children.

Cervical cancer may spread to any organ including the ovaries. You didn’t tell me the stage of her disease but if she really has cervical cancer, she needs immediate treatment and probably an abortion because the cancer spreads faster during the pregnancy.

You may want to consult a gynecologist and oncologist about this.
