onechanceplz,

If you want additional testing, then look on the internet - online labs will test you for anything you want. Also, mono can be caused by CMV or EBV, I had EBV a long time ago and it did make me very sick for a long time.

I have a question. One of the symptoms that I have had for several months and that is between my fingers my skin feels weird like a little rough, and it has a little brown color to it. Does anybody know what that could be or is anyone having the same problem? It started shortly after all of this started last year.

Dalton,

One of the classic symptoms of being sick that you will notice many people mention is irritation of the folds of the skin, as in your case between your fingers (for other people, the folds around the nose, elbow, knee, or groin). When I first got sick last year, I had a bad rash on the folds in my groin, which went away when I used an anti-fungal over the counter spray. Keep in mind DFrank's comments regarding Candida (which is a fungus), which can get out of control when someone gets sick.

Best wishes.

Scared,

I wanted to mention that you & I seem to be on the same schedule - you mentioned August 7th will be a little over eight months for you, and actually August 7th will be nine months exactly to the day for me when I screwed up. Like you, I'm tired of everyone telling me that I am fine when I can feel my spine paining me. I'm glad that you had x-rays done - I've had previous back problems, and this feels completely different.

Best wishes.

That's the problem for me. The Dr's. know for a fact that I do have some kind of bacteria that I have had for about 17 months now, but yet they don't know where it's coming from. Altho I've told them that it is an STD, but they don't want to listen cause nothing has showed up. I'm sorry people, but I just don't trust these antibody tests, even the one's that only take 20 mins. for the results. Cause the hotline even told me that the tests have to be kept in the right temp, it will not work. If it's one degree low or one degree higher, than it still won't work. Has anyone ever got tested for HIV virus only? I would like to try and get that done next, and if that would come up negative, then I would believe it. The HIV virus test is 100% better than the antibody test. For some reason I just don't believe that it is HTLV, cause with HTLV you do have problems getting around. It also makes it hard to walk cause it messes with your bones and nerves. Plus I believe that HTLV is very rare, and if it was a problem like HIV, and all the other STD's, then they would test it even more, and they would even have the test in clinics. So, I just don't think that HTLV is a big issue.

Dalton,

After 17 months you would know that you had HIV, and even the lousiest test would have detected it. Like Ustas said, either be happy that it's not HIV or focus on some other illness. And like I said, I don't want to have HTLV neither, but the symptoms fit, along with the medical people not knowing anything about HTLV window periods, antibodies, etc. I'd like to wake up tomorrow without symptoms, and also not seeing the same symptoms in the dozen people I've infected, but right now that's just wishful thinking.

DFrank has been sick for longer than both of us combined - forgive the imposition DFrank, but I'm betting that whatever it is you have is what's troubling the rest of us as well.

Best wishes.

Hey guys, I have a question if I were to get tested for EBV or CMV would the test still pick it up even though it's been 71/2 months since the exposure? I've been reading about EBV and I have a lot of the symptoms. They say some people can have problems longer than 6 months this is known as chronic EBV. Read about this everyone, I wonder if I just have a bad case of the Epstein Barr Virus.

Scared,

Yes, I had a long term case of EBV about 20 years ago - testing will continue to show antibodies long after infection, with lowered titer values.

Hey guys, I called the doctor for my results and haven't heard back yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Depressed my products are candida clear( now brand),garden of life raw probiotics(85 billion live cultures 31 probiotic strains), Gaia herbs candidia cleanse, and of course the diet. Just google candida diet and you can find all the info you need. Although some different sites vary a little, still pretty basic on what you can have to eat and things to avoid completely, like sugar, carbs , and yeast. Scared think you should try this too, with the mucos in your stool.Tony my dizziness and wobbily gate has stopped, also my stomach and headaches in the morning have decreased greatly. My joints have improved, spine pain too. My back, hips, knees, and feet still ache, but only after a hard day of work where I'm on my feet and and lifting things. Do I think this was my problem? Yes and no, the doc gave me a fungal blood test, so we'll see. I feel a lot better and thats what matters first. I had all kinds of stmptoms over the last almost 3 years that have come an gone and shifted to different ones. I have had most of your guys symptoms at one time or another, except skin absesses, or mouth ulcers. I did have this weird itchy boil rash between my butt cheeks, that I cleared up with some jock itch spray. Some doctor believe that you need to be immune suppressed to get severe candidia, or systemic candidia, but I've read all kind of testimonials of normal people getting very sick from this. There are MD specialists that specialize in this and know it can be very serious and yes some think its contagious, as I do. Well all you guys check it out and give it a try. I have also shed some unwanted pounds:) I let you know my test results when I get them. Take care guys!

DFrank,

Thanks for filling us in on your therapy, I've been taking probiotics ever since those horrible abscesses - supposedly the probiotics that require refrigeration are the best ones. My suspicion is that any skin disorder that we are experiencing is Candida related. Whether our Candida its caused by immune suppression or some super strain of Candida remains to be seen by the lab tests. Like you said, the most important thing is that you are feeling better.

Best wishes.

Thanks tony! Oh and couple more things. Find a good health food store in your area as they will have all the products needed, and staff will probably have some knowledge in this area. And recommend getting a good juicer, for vegetables, and even some fruits. The juicing has helped me a lot , my favorite carrot apple ginger and beet. Although I didn't have to much in the first stage of the diet, cause of the sugar content. My new doctor said nutrition is very important in combatting any disease or condition. He so most medical doctors did not take the courses in nutrition as he did. And tony your right my probiotics are from the refrigerated area and keep them in the frig to maintain there potency. Good luck guys, hope to get my results soon!

Dfrank, am glad that you feel better.

Guys all my test results came back normal, blood control tests(VES, PCR, LDH, ellectroforesi proteica, ANA, ENA, Vitamin B12....)and abdomen test (radiography). So still my doctors don't know the cause. Today I gave blood for an other HIV test and result will be available on the 23rd of July. This will be my last test for HIV. My tongue is changed white since november, but I never feel anything inside my throat. Now it happened on me. I don't know what to do. Do u guys faced this problem? the rashes on my hand increases a bit.

I am discussing about HTLV with my drs too. I will try HTLV test next week once I get my HIV result. Keep in touch guys.

Good luck all!.

DarkGuy,

I'm glad that your testing is going well, and believe me that you don't have HIV. I also share your throat symptoms, and your tongue sounds like it has yeast infection (Candida). I am also glad that you are seriously considering HTLV and will get tested for it. Please continue to keep us informed on your progress.

Best wishes.

depressed man & Dfrank,
we all have almost the same symptoms, i have been living with this sore throat ( exactly something stuck inside ) , the lymph nodes are swollen , also some Rash on my hands & legs,
Depressed, i thought you are doing well after the H PYLOR test & you are on medication now , believe me man it is not HIV , it must be something else , ( HIV window period is 3 months , i'm on medhelp since ages , all the experts there say the same thing) it will be some thing else,
maybe as Tony always saying , HTLV , it is a big chance for that as long as we can't find anything else..
please Consider HTLV , also Candida

Hey guys, I called the doc for my results, havnt heard back yet. I see him again on August 2nd, but I will call him on Friday again, if I don't hear back sooner. Tony, I started having symptoms november of 2009, so I'm on the third year now. Trust me soon as I get them I will post. Depressed good luck on the diet, it will be hard at first, but you will get used to it, and hopefully will start feeling better. Remember when candidia dies off it releases toxins into your system, so you might have a couple of bad days as I have. But before every day was bad for the last 6 months. Good luck. Also got a tb test today, will get the results in a couple of days.

DFrank,

Thanks for helping us through this - November will be one year for me, so you are two years ahead of me. I've been to an infectious disease specialist and a cancer doctor, and the first told me that I need to see a psychiatrist and the second told me that there's nothing wrong with me.

Best wishes.
