D-man,

I'm glad that you are pursuing testing, I'm especially interested in Lyme & Mono. I hear you about getting labeled with the anxiety sticker - my doctor tried to do that to me a few months ago. If I didn't see my sex partners get sick too, I'd be willing to believe the anxiety excuse, but anxiety is not contagious!

AdviseMe,

We are all sick - otherwise, we wouldn't be here. Yes, people exist who are asymptomatic, they feel fine now even though in the long run they will suddenly collapse from HTLV, HIV, HCV, etc. Whatever it is that we have is VERY symptomatic and VERY contagious - most of us got it from one time exposure, and some of us even gave it to others through one time exposure.

Best wishes / HTLVhelp

I hope the best with your results.

Things are not going well these days for me. My mouth have a strange feeling/taste for the past two days. The white of eye is getting darker. My girlfriend is also having these problems along with leg pain.

D-man,

You're welcome, we are all in the same boat of being sick for too long and being told we're crazy because the tests can't diagnose us. I know this is much to ask, but see if you can get a PCR test for HTLV. Like you, I am grateful for being alive, even though I am not feeling good at all. Good luck and let us know what happens.

no classical window period for HTLV
I had written to the manufacturer of the newest HTLV antibody test (Avioq), to ask what they considered the HTLV window period to be, here is the reply:

In response to your inquiry below, there is no classical window period for HTLV as seen with the HIV infection. HTLV infection is chronic in nature.
