A number of Doctors said that HIV does not show symptoms after three months. Symptoms does not last that long.

I did my HTLV test on Friday and awaiting a call from my Doctor.

Its like i'm 110% sure i have HTLV. If u should read some testimonies of person's suffering form this virus, then you'd understand. My feet are aching right now. I had some hip pain through out the day. Skin still itching and burning. Eyes are still dark in color. Joint pains are not so bad now. Lose stool every now and then. Abdominal gurgles with pain coming very rare.

Guy, i know something is wrong. My girlfrieng complain of abdominal pain at times. She had legs pain as well. She is not feeling much of what i'm feeling but those that she felt, i felt them too. We had the same bumps on our face too.

Whatever it is that i'm ailing with, is worst than HIV. Those who are HIV positive are not gonig through what I/we is/are going through.

We need devine intervention here.

Symptoms & Window Periods
AdviseMe & Ustas,

Mr. Sadowsky of TheBody site stated that some people NEVER develop antibodies for HTLV, which is very disturbing, since when we are dealing with HIV, we know that three months is conclusive as a window period for HIV antibodies. Im dealing with the same symptoms as you both, and I hate every minute of it. The best we can hope for is to find a hematologist who is will to prescribe Azacytidine, since that's what cured a patient in Greece after 8 months of dosing. In order to do that, the doctor needs to state that you have MDS, a bone marrow disorder. I know that's much to expect, but doing that is better than living your life with a miserable disease that has no treatment.

Denial = death, silence = death
I'm going to tell all of you something that is going to shock you - remember Dr. Bob, who helped everyone at TheBody site, even though he was HIV positive himself? Well when he passed away last year SUDDENLY, even with having the BEST medical care for HIV in the entire world (both he & his partner are HIV doctors), everyone was understandably surprised, and everyone wanted an explanation, and no one could provide a reasonable explanation of why he suddenly died of sepsis. Are you ready for my explanation? He died of sepsis, which is what kills native people who have HTLV. Of course NO ONE is ever going to admit or agree that Dr. Bob might have had HTLV in addition to HIV, but I'm telling you that his sudden death was caused by HTLV. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Dr. Bob, but I also know that everyone in the medical field denies that HTLV is a problem both then and now (even Dr. Bob himself). Once you all test HIV negative past three months, if you aren't willing to accept your HIV negative results and consider other infections, then you are part of the same denial that killed Dr. Bob - that's the nicest way I can say it. It's your choice.

Well my girlfriend has gone to two diffrent doctors and they dont know why she has the lumps on her left side if neck.. She asked for an HIV test at both differnt places but the doctors dont even think of HIV in those places, they tell her shes already tested negative so she doesnt need more test, so antibiotics is the only solution for her for the moment. I made an appt for tommorow im gonna have all std panel, hepatitis panel, syhpills and of course hiv.. I pray to God its Negative. Its just so scarey that after a risky HIV exposure we get all these crazy symptoms and iur body just change, and were all scared becuase of this happening after a high risk sexual encounter.. Hopefully we figure this out soon!

Adviseme.. I had the left hand burning at the 4th week mark with needles and pins on my wrists , hands and ankles and feet very scarey!! you just picture huv running through your body.. Also was itchy with what the Doctor said was folluculitis.. at the 14th week mark those symtoms are almost completely gone.. Good luck on your next test..

Casper012 you have tested way beyond the HIV window period. HIV is not your infection. Try testing for syhpillis, herpes and HPV, hepatis abc.. Good luck let us know..

Well all my tests are for tomorrow I really nervius but I have to face it. Tired of this scarey feelings of not knowing,

My symptoms now.. left abdominal pain, soar throat, neck glands under my jaw and back of my head.. theres always something not rite..

Plz everyone keep sharing your stories, update symptoms and tests you will be taking , test results and ALL YOUR DOCTORS ADVICE AND SUGGESTED TESTS..

Hello friends, can you believe the blood donation bus was at my job today, I thought you know what if I really wanted to know if I had something bad this would be my chance to find out. They screen your blood for everything when you give blood. Can you believe I chickened out and didn't do it. My wife told me I should have done it so I can let this go, but I couldn't I was just to scared guys how pathetic am I? These last 6 months have been hell I just wish we could all put this behind us and have our lives back.

God bless everyone,

Scared, its not easy to make such a decision. I don't think it would be a wise idea either to have that done at your work place.

How will I ever know then if something is wrong Ustas? We don't seem to be finding anything out the way we are going this might be the way, you really think this is a bad idea? It's not like theyre going to use the blood if something's wrong with it anyway. This might be the way to find out what is wrong. I just don't know what else to do.

The thing is, if something is picked up in the test, they would know who u r and where u work. The only way to know what's wrong is to test. I've done my HTLV test and i'm expecting a call from my Doctor.

Your right I know, do you think they would notify my job though? Wouldn't they just send me a letter in the mail telling me I'm not able to donate blood anymore? By the way I wish you the best on your test result.

Thanks very much Scared. I'm not certain of the method they'd use to get the information to u. The entire team would know that u are.

Do it privately.

keep this between you and your doctor
Ustas & DepressedMan,

I've been experiencing the same bumps - first I had one on the left side of my face, so the doctor gave me antibiotics and it went away. Now I have one on my leg, so I have another doctor appointment tomorrow, which will probably mean more antibiotics.

Scared - I agree with everyone else who said keep this between you and your doctor; plus, you don't want to transmit this to others by donating blood.

Casper - you're right, this isn't HIV, I've spent six thousand dollars on testing for everything and they can't figure out what it is. Like you, we all just want our old lives back. My best guess is that it is HTLV, the symptoms match, and since the testing for HTLV is NOT conclusive, we might not ever have a diagnosis, which is very sad.

Best wishes - HTLVhelp
