I won't say that I am not happy due to my results, but I am still very scared. Just 5 more weeks to have a definitive result.

I have a question for you folks, how likely do you think that my results will remain negative? I mean, how likely is it for a person who tests negative at 6 weeks to change its results at 12 weeks?.

Do very bad symptoms as the ones I got might mean that my antibody levels will require a little more time to be enough to appear on tests?

I ask this because although we are not doctors ( I think) we got obsessed with the topic and might have some useful information.

Hehe Congrats brother.. Your symptoms dosnt look like HIV symptoms to be honest, you will keep testing Negative. Calm Yourself down and get out of the internet, dont read about HIV and its symptoms, dont read stories on the internet, just do the tests on the recommended intervals (this is what i would do of i can go back in time).

For the guys having continuous symptoms, test for H.Pylori Bacteria.. unfortunetly i tested negative for it a while back, it can cause lots lots of symptoms. Give it a shot

P4sure and Marana, thank you.

Last night I had night sweats and heat flush and my ears are hurting again. Maybe my negative results are due to the fact that my body hasn't yet been able to produce antibodies.

I would like to keep myself far from the Internet but I have no self control.

Once this nightmare finishes I will go to get tested for all the things you've mentioned.

I forgot to tell you about my symptoms. Last night I had night sweat again, although milder, which had disappeared a lot of time ago. The joints of my knees are hurting a great deal and I am feeling fatigue and shortness of breath. It seems my results are not yet conclusive :/

Hello Wrcfocus, welcome back.

Would you mind reminding me what your exposure, symptoms and timeframe? As you can see I am new here and I am struggling with my situation so I am looking for encouragement throughout the 5 weeks that are still left for my having a conclusive result.

Thanks dear,
i suggest that you review my posts,
in brief, today i'm 1 year 4 months and 20 days post exposure..( brief receptive unprotected anal 3-5min without ejaculation & oral)
all my test came back negative
5 rapid tests 3rd generation, 2 Elisa tests, 4 PCRs, 6 4th generation tests, 3 CD4,CD8,CD3 COUNTS and their ratios

Again, my symptoms:
ear ringing
severe neuropathy
esophagitis
low back pain
Muscles spasm and twitching
weight gain
scalp burning
Central nervous system burning
upper back tingling sensation
salivary glands swelling

i tested positive for chlamydia 2 weeks post exposure, while for herpes simplex 1, the result never changed (negative) until 6.5 months from my exposure it came positive (while during the first 6 months i tested 4 or 5 times with negative result..)
my ID Doctor, told me that its fibromyalgia
i believe its either HIV or autoimmune disease

I have been having a scarce yet constant discharge through my penis. And the glands in my groin area are swelling. Some of my symptoms came back (chills, heat flush, headache ) but really mild. I am having a test next Monday (I got addicted to those). I couldn't be more certain I have hiv

what i learned after spending more than one and a half year of reading and trying to be more knowledgeable: each body and immune system reacts in a different way when contracting this virus but some symptoms are common while other exist, but sure after HIV successfully destroy our immune system, here where comes the common symptoms and AIDS defining stage...

Does any one know where all the "old patient" has gone? Are they getting better with all the symptoms or? Somehow I found this Aids like disease is highly contagious, what say you?

sure its highly contagious.. its not that simple like saying to practice protected and safe sex.. its far more complicated ,,
regarding "old patients", either they are getting better and this what i'm praying for, or depression is invading their soul Sad

The only prediction that i can imagine is :
Most of us are infected with some kind of virus( not HIV if the 1 year test came back negative) and that virus activated an autoimmune/disease).

To close to my 1/2 months symptoms..
chlamydia & gonorrhea igg or igm ?
if igg then you can rule them out and its conclusive

for HSV 1 & 2, i suggest to wait 2 more months, my positive HSV1( genital) test result didn't show up until 7 months mark

for Syphilis its conclusive,
HIV 1&2 means that you used the 4th generation test mostly CMIA which is as accurate as ELISA, ( i suggest 3rd and 4th generation Elisa TEST along with CD4 CD8 counts THIS IS ESSENTIAL !)
what about EBV & CMV tests ??

The symptoms that I am suffering from now are dryness in the skin, white tongue, and sounds in the intestines. The ability to work is less than 70% based on the symptoms and the mental stress.

I don't feel that my lymph nodes are swollen, but the other symptoms persist for sure.
|
Did you find this post helpful?

replied May 17th, 2017
I don't have swollen lympnode as well. Maybe our immune system is too weak to fight with the virus. I plan to take another 6 months test for all the STI which I don't think will be positive. Btw the hiv test is ELISA, not sure which generation, but for 3 months Mark I don't think that makes any difference.
