I forgot but, what do you mean when you say "Your symptoms are not consistent with HIV "? That made me curious.

If my symptoms are not those of hiv, I don't know what hiv symptoms are. I mean,I have never read of a person with symptoms that match better.

Sorry for my keeping posting but, the more I think about HIV, the more things I remember. Other symptoms. Difficult to sleep, I never get to sleep more than two hours in a row and the more I have gotten to sleep is 6 hours. Involuntary movements, especially my arms and fingers ( maybe this one is due to fatigue and stress), sensation that anta are running through my body. Tuesday I was about one hour with a sensation that I was blinking but I wasnt,I don't know the word for that (English in not my native language) I mean. You lose the image of the world for a fraction of a second,as though you had blinked, but you know you didn't. (Maybe also due to fatigue )

Hello friends
First,i still wish you will have negative confirmatory test theworstoflucks. People here say your symptoms are not peculiar to hiv because we are all living the same. For ex; my body has shrunk too,my trousers and shoes dont fit me any more. Though i have 15 month negative test i am sure one day it will turn positive. I know we must be strong but i dont know how. Some support from an expert may be helpful. Medication is so useful today. The best idea is to have Medication i guess. We all have family and they love us. We mustnt leave then alone whatever it is.
I wish you all best luck

Thanks for your wishes Nicelescu. Would you mind telling me what your risky exposure was and a list of your symptoms? I would really appreciate it for I am trying to find motivation to have my confirmation test.

New symptoms a burning ulcer on my tongue and a non-hurting on my lip. Awkward fluid coming from my penis. Every morning I wake up feeling like I was hit by a truck. I have never been lazy in my life but it costs me so much to wake up from my bed. I just don't want to think of living like this the 15 or 20 years that I still have.

Hi, new to this site but in the same boat! Been almost 5 years since my high risk exposure/attack. Have had 7 negative duo tests and one 5th generation duo at 4.5 years also negative. 4 weeks after exposure I got aches in both balls and penis itch, tested negative for all stds. 2 months after exposure my feet and legs felt like they were in hot water for 14 hours, pain then started in the soles of both feet which occurs to this day. My penis is regularly itchy. I had crawling sensations on pubic area and pimples started popping up, again this is still happening 5 years later. Drinking alcohol makes symptoms worse. This last year things have started to get worse. Itchy pimples on skull, behind ears and back of neck, upper teeth sore, pain in paratoid glands which dr diagnosed as first bite syndrome, although he has never heard of it on both sides, difficulty swallowing, diagnosed as narrowing asopehcas, gut infection called something ring. Itchy body and scalp. Low b12 and folate, need b12 injections for life. Brain and spine Mei clear. Extreme fatigue, aches and pains including fingers and toes. Loosing body mass but not weight. Constant anal itch and irritation. Non itchy or sore red dots appear on penis for maybe a day then disappear. I've been strong for almost 5 years but starting to fall apart! Can't get hiv outta my head because of all these symptoms!

UPDATE.

Unfortunately I developed a heart condition called PSVT which was triggered by this infection/virus.

I just got my HIV test result back today and it was negative. It has now been 10 months and this is a very real infection/virus that can't be identified or picked up for some reason. I am now taking a corticosteroid medication to ease the immune response which the doctor said is idiopathic in origin. This medication seems to be helping some of my symptoms.

My main symptoms now are:

- Fever during day (improving)
- Chills (improving)
- Fatigue (improving)
- Sore throat (getting worse)
- Lumps on skin that come and go (getting worse)
- Fever and sweating at night (getting worse)

My eye related symptoms were caused by extreme dry eyes related to this infection/virus.

I know I have HIV and I will continue pursuing it until I get a diagnosis. I had bleeding gums during the day of my exposure and this is how I would have gotten the virus. I don't trust these HIV websites and I don't trust these doctors anymore. I am sick and tired of dealing with this and the torment of what I gave myself that day. This has been a living nightmare for me. There are countless of rare strains out there that are not even known yet and the virus can mutate rapidly. Whats to say I don't have a rare strain that produces an atypical response? I also no longer trust these 4th generation tests which can't be 100% accurate anyway for the reason I just mentioned.

TheWorstOfLucks: I sorry to hear about your positive result. This really concerns me as my symptoms were almost identical right after exposure. What type of test was this? Have your symptoms changed/improved?

Hey help3822, I am sorry to hear about your heart condition. Don't you think that this might've been caused by the constant state of stress and anxiety that you have been under during the last 10 months?.

The test I took was a four generarion one, I think. What makes me doubt is that the paper says "fourth generation antibody" but it doesn't day antigen. Which should be also stated. I inquired about this to the lab and they didn't know what to tell me. Nevertheless, doctor advised me to take a second test because false negarive tests do happen and it is not that common to ser a person who seroconversion at 30 days. And in case it turns put positive, the to take a Western Blot test.

I don't know if fortunately or unfortunately my symptoms are disappearing without my doing anything. The ear buzzing still remains althouh milder, I still have a little fatigue, and random headaches and heat flushed during the day. Last night I had a mild night sweat. Which didn't happen since the the eighteenth day after my exposure.

P4sure, I can see that you really had a very high risk activity. And mine is considered low or no risk depending on whom you ask to.
I also can see that you had several synptoms, such as I do. Considering your high risk and your symptoms I feel a little encouraged that I am not going to test positive and that mine is going to be a completely different thing. You guys must be living in hell. I just have been in this dilema for one and a half month and I feel like I can't keep going, I can't sleep at nights and the only thing in my head during the day is HIV.

Theworstfluck: Im 100% confident im HIV postive... its either Hiv2 or a rare strain type which tests doesnt pick it up.

There is absolutely no other thing other than HIV which can cause the symptoms i faced in the beginning and the continuous symptoms. Its just immpossible, No way no how.

I got all the book acute hiv symptoms, i mean every single symptom you can think of, along with crazy continuos symptoms.

I need a mircle to come out of this hell.

I have a question about the marriage does anyone of you has a wife?

For the single people like me,

Hello Nicelescu.

With regards to your question, I decided to take a second HIV test today and I am getting my results in exactly 48 hours. I don't know why I did this instead of taking a western blot. Maybe is because I hope I am getting a false negative that gives me a little hope. At least for some weeks.

I told my siblings about the posibilita of my contracting HIV, and they are devastated, the worst week of my life... so far.

On Monday I had a severe pain in my urethra ( which I don't know if has to do with hiv, now I associate even a broken nail with hiv). I am terrified that my penus, which appeared to be white now had a greenish color. I am terrified. I have always hated hospitals and have a phobia to blood, and know I am going to have to be in constant touch with them.

Stay strong fellows.

It is fun how in the past I used to complain about children and claimed I never wanted to get married. Now, that maybe it is not going to be possible, I feel as though it is what I want the most, being a lovely husband and father.

I have never been successful with ladies, but I think now it's going to be even more difficult.

Several things are going to change, I guess. But well, I had it coming for being a horny ignorant young man.

Theworstofluck: Brother, For some reason I feel your test will come out Negative. I will keep u in my prayers.

You did the right thing about testing again with same 4th generation test (usually the protocol being followed is 1- if first test is postive, then repeat with the same test, if postive again you have to do westernblot or PCR as a final confirmetry test).

I got my results. They came back negative O.O

I didn't expect it. It was a fourth generation test for antibodies and antigen with a value of 0.12. I don't know what to think. However, it was just a little before 7 weeks after exposure so it is everything but conclusive. I read on the Internet that although about 95% of people show positive between 4 and 6 weeks, people who had symptoms are more likely to take a little extra time to show positive, but I don't know whether believe or not, at the end of the day the Internet also said that cunnilingus was little to no risk and here I am. I will test again in 3 weeks (10 weeks after exposure) and after that if required, 2 weeks after that.
