HTLV has no symtomp at all and all our symtomp is related with HIV i dont miss anything for HIV accept the stupid antibody test. People who not develope any sytomp in thos forum and have negative antibody test can enjoy their live happily. But me the unfortunate one just thinking about HIV every single day for 5 years and till the day i died with AIDS. This sytomp my lead you to HIV even you may miss the antibody test.

You might experience high viral fever that you never had before in your whole life after 3 week of possible exposure. Mouth ulcer, dieheria, flue, blur vision, migrane.
Than you will be ok and might have prolong sytomp like:
1. Loose Stool
2. Dry mouth and lack of saliva
3. Problem with oral health
4. Gases stomach
5. Neuro and muscle problem
6. Hair lost
7. Red eye and eye flooers in the morning
8. unexplain fatigue
9. Migrane
10. Dermatis or rashes lassion herpes

All of this similar and related to HIV only we miss the stupid CDC FDA antibody test. This is HIV belive me since all our sickness lead to HIV and AIDS.

Hassan,

HTLV has all of the symptoms you listed, blaming everything on HIV is not going to work, we've been dealing with this for years, it's not HIV.

Best wishes.

Hassan,
I been talking to someone with HTLV type2 and he got symptoms early in his infection, about 2 weeks after being infected to be exact, his initial symptoms included, ear ringin, joint pains, chronic fatigue syndrome, vertigo, and swollen lymphnodes, one could say they are very similar symptoms to HIV.
I'm not saying this to scare anyone but its incorrect to say that htlv could not cause early symptoms or as defined more appropriately ARS.

This is HIV and AIDS
I cannot think of any similar virus than HIV. I belive with my instinc that me and my family have HIV. I just need Dr. that could give me the antiviral drug to slow down this HIV virus. My leg always had tingiling feeling everyday. There is know Dr answer this forum is just us who dignos our self and we have to face this sickness alone without treatment. HTLV also dont have any treatment its similar to HIV. We minght call it anything but this virus sure lead us to the death sentence. But i strongly belive this is HIV it is a new HIV strain that cannot be detected at all until it develope to cronics sickness 5 to 20 years. We all gonna die so enjoy this short life every lets share this virus to everyone who not belive it.

Again this is HIV
No one in this whole world have the answer for our sickness and symptoms. We just know it by our self no one cannot tell that we are sick from the rare type of retro virus since we miss all the antibody test and std. But iam 100% sure me my wife and baby sick with HIV virus not HTLV or any other thing. There no such new retrovirus reported in the web only HIV could lead all of this symptoms.

DW,

Very well written - I've seen so many rely on the timeliness of symptoms as a diagnosis of disease that it's absurd. And you're correct that HTLV symptoms mimic HIV - they should, since they are in the same family of retroviruses.

Best wishes.

We still dont have the solution and treatment either its HIV or HTLV. We cannot get any treatment and protection for any Dr. They should control on this epidemic and do an accurate test. Now i already infected my wife and my baby. So we all dont have future right now and we just can thinking of dying without treatment. Thanks god for this rarevirus that u give to me and my family hope you forgive all my sins. I never smoke i never drink but i just do one time mistake than i just get this stupid crazy unditected virus.

Hassan,

Every day when I wake up, I have the same thoughts as you, that this disease should have never been hidden from us, that it should have been taken seriously by the medical authorities, not only in warning people about it, but also for testing and treating it. Even in Jamaica where this is endemic, people from there have told me that they never even heard of it - how can you live somewhere and never hear of a disease that's there? Our servicemen in Japan must have been exposed to this after being there for 70 years - why was their infection hidden from us? Like you and many people here, I was trying to so hard to live the right way, be careful with my choices and my health, don't smoke nor do drugs, and stay away from the risky people. But also like you, I made one mistake. Meanwhile there are people who screw anyone, do drugs, etc and are fine - it's a very unfair situation, not only for us, but also for the children. Being born into this disease and being totally innocent is the worst shame of all. This disease will become the worst disease of the 21st century, not only in terms of the number of people infected, but also because the medical authorities ignored it and let people suffer and die.

Best wishes.

Hassan-
HIV is most dangerous when your cd4 count goes below 200, this is when people start getting opportunistic infections, this happens regularly to people who never get tested after being infected with HIV. These people are treated with HIV meds and go on to live another 40 years at least. However you don't have HIV your tests prove it.

Hassan,

Im sorry to say that doctors nowhere know about HTLV, when it's mentioned, patients are thrown out of the office. The best suggestion I can give you for your stool problems are curcumin / tumeric tablets - I take 4 in the morning with a cup of yogurt.

Hassan. My name is Ken. I am in the exact situation as you. Me and my family. I want to die but I fear God's judgement. It is worse than any nightmare I could imagine. I pray to God that we are wrong but what else can it be? Too many symptoms. It has to be HIV or something new that is similar to HIV. I feel for you Hassan because I'm living the same hell. Dear Lord please heal us or at least show the doctors what we have so we can be treated. Amen

The only way that we are going to be able to prove to the doctors that we are sick is to have one doctor who will believe us, then work forward from there. Finding that one special doctor is the key to the whole thing.

Hassan, you better get control of your mind or it will destroy you, trust me I know first hand..you and your family are probably not dying... I've had this thing for 4 years now... Had almost every symtom on here.. From your stomach rumbling, loose stools to neuropathy... I'm still here and living a pretty happy life... I'm in pain every day and really bad in the morning hours, but I've learned to deal with that and live my life.. Don't let it consume you cause it will! I know how your feeling, scared and guilty that you put yourself and your family in this situation, but it is a situation and you will recover if you keep your mind strong... Just so you know a lot of my symptoms, other than the neuropathy and lower abdominal pains in the morning, have gotten a lot better or have subsided completely.... There are so many pathogens and viruses out there that they might not even have discovered what we really have.. Keep an open mind about this, don't home in on one specific terrible disease cause that's not it... It could be any virus known or unknown causing this... Eat well, exercise if can, and you and your family keep a strong mind and you will get better.. Also there are a lot of other conditions and diseases mentioned on this site, some very contagious and treatable that could be causing your family to be sick.. I suggest you start testing for them and quite focusing on HIV, cause it will get you no where.... Good luck and keep a strong mind!

Wow! Tony what's going on here? I've been away for a while.... These guys here are in early stage of this.. Been skipping back a little and reading a few posts...Test wrong, I think, I just went back a couple of pages and looked at your symptoms... Those are the similar symptoms I had early on in this... I'm telling you from experience that early on this "condition" will cause your mind to go south.. Paranoia, depression , total loss of hope, and make you think you've got a specific disease that's gonna kill you... Well I'm here to prove you wrong.. I've been dealing with this for 4 years... I've been in your spot, trust me don't let it get the best of you.. Tony, I'm gonna get back on the hunt a little and try and get some more testing done when I get time. I read your private message and see if I can get that one done if i can help you out... I'll let you know.... Take care

D-Frank,

I appreciate you catching up and letting us know that you are still around, since not hearing from someone could mean that they're 'gone' for good, i.e. dead. You have my tremendous appreciation for saying that our symptoms are consistent, since at one point I was chastised for saying exactly that. Finally everyone, let's be honest here, we all do have the same symptoms, I've said it before, now D-Frank is saying it, etc. That's VERY remarkable considering that we are in VERY different parts of the world.

I appreciate you getting tested, since you are the one with the most years on this, that makes you our point man. Frankly after seeing that the testing worked poorly for people like Alberto from Italy (PCR positive after two years without a positive antibody test), I want them to use a new testing approach - the one used in Israel where rats were injected with a patient's blood developed HTLV antibodies.

Best wishes.

If any of you are that depressed you just wanna die, I suggest you seek treatment right away.. I was there, no hope, in pain with all these symptoms. Like testwrong, the only piece I had is when I could sleep, but it would end soon as I woke up, and them the living nightmare continued...it was horrible place and time for me... I didn't get any help til I tried to commit suicide.. Then at least the doctors took me serious, and that was the beginning to my recovery.. I'm deffinetely not suggesting anything like that, but if you see a psychiatrist or even go to the emergency room and tell them what's going on and how you really feel, you might get some help with the mental stuff..I know, I was so sick down and out I couldn't work, sleep, take care of my kids... All I did was live this nightmare...now 4 years later I am so much stronger mentally about this... I'm engaged to a beautifull women, and I'm able to take care if my kids.. Don't get me wrong, this thing is very real, and I know for a lot of you it feels like doom, but it will get better.. Seek help for your mental state... I had to take antidepressant for a few months, had a strong support system from the people who cared and believed me. I have come a long way... It wasn't easy but I made it... I feel some bouts of depression here and there, but most of the time I'm pretty happy... So address your symptoms ecspecialy the mental part... Like I said I was you guys- stomach pain, messed uneven gait, dizziness, muscle wasting ecspecialy in the butt, neuropathy pain, dry mouth, dizziness, dermatitis, digestive issues, and just an over all malaise... Even erectyle did unction at one time,,and many more I can't think of right now...my lymphocytes went very low and neutrophils very high... I'm suppressed with the amount of views and posts this specific topic has got, that the mediators or someone hasn't notified the CDC.. Anyway get help, get support from the people that believe you.. I know first hand none of you are crazy....

Funny that the doctor on TheBody site nine years ago recommended that they group that was dying do the same thing - contact the CDC. Even if they did contact the CDC, they probably got ignored and dropped dead anyway. Nice that scores of people are dying of this and don't even receive the dignity of being recorded as a statistic. At least with AIDS you get to be on the AIDS quilt.

Best wishes.

I'm about to give up with this.
I found out that the 30 year old woman who put me through all this has multiple kids with multiple partners has done porn in the past and also has injected drugs and has no problem having unprotected one night stands. My risk was fingering her and unprotected pensionless -vaginal unprotected rubbing and slight and brief penetration, maybe 10 seconds.
Here is where it all gets tricky though, she has a greed to be tested for anything and everything which i have now.
Here are all the test that have been performed on her,
At 13 months after exposure
Chlamidya neg
Ghonorea neg
Syphilis TPA neg that test shows she has never had syphillis
HIV 1/2 neg
HSV 1/2 Ab blood test neg, that shows she never has had herpes
HTLV 1/2 antibody neg
HCV AB neg
HBV Core total AB neg, that shows she has never had HBV

On top of that i don't have any symptoms other than hpv, and she doesn't have any apparent symptoms either, although her risky behaviors scare me.

Here is the scariest thing for me though, a lymphocyte panel was done on her along with a complete blood count, her complete blood count was normal luckily, however even though her lymphocyte panel came back within range(normal) it was on the higher side

Cd3% (mature T) is 84% normal is 57-85%

Cd8% (suppressor) is 40% normal is 12-42%

So as you could see although within normal range they are quite high.
I guess my only option now is to see if i could arrange one more lymphocyte pannel in a few months.

I'm open to opinions or suggestions.

DW,

Here's my opinion / suggestion - you stop worrying that you are sick since you aren't experiencing ANY symptoms! The rest of us would GLADLY switch places with you! I for one am in horrible pain every day and am suffering with TONS of symptoms. Dude I know you mean well but you're doing a disservice to those of us who are really sick and really in pain and really messed up with this illness. If doctors aren't going to take those of us who are really suffering seriously, how do you expect them to take you seriously? You have no idea how lucky you are and how screwed the rest of us are.

I don't give a crap what anyone says, people are dying from this illness and something has to be done to stop that happening for the rest of us who are still alive. Alberto from Italy has stopped answering my emails and even JB tried to contact him without success - Im afraid that he's dead from Leukemia after SEVEN years of being infected - his last email to me was "leukemia has arrived". SEVEN YEARS!!! This is WORSE than AIDS!!! I know that some of you are as angry as I am about this. I'm sorry but I cant live the "happily ever after" life, this disease is a !**@! and its making me miserable every day of my life and I know it's going to kill me way before my time. If any of you are okay with that, God bless you for being better people than me.

Best wishes.

Does the medical community simply say they have enough trouble keeping up with what is defined...we can't worry about the mystery people like Tony, Ken, and the many other posting here...and the people that no longer post because they are probably too sick or dead?! WHAT CAN WE DO?!!! I am thinking about suicide often because I have no hope!

Yes, my girlfriends have been suffering with this as well - one lost almost thirty pounds, and her periods are screwed up as well. Even though this appears to be HIV, it is not. If saying that it's HIV gives you the leverage you need to get a real doctor to look at this illness, great, but know that in reality this is not HIV, it's HTLV.

JP,

You're not the first person to ask "why doesn't everyone have symptoms?". The answer is that not everyone reacts to infections the same way. Some people are fine, other people can barely walk.

You're not the first person to ask "why is it just men here". The short answer is that women are in denial about being sick. For example, the woman I gave this to lost almost 30 pounds and is HAPPY that she did. She's not going to ask a doctor to check her, since between her denial and her weight loss, she is happy. Now if you or I lost 30 pounds, we'd be running to the doctor and begging for help.

Best wishes.

JP,

Look, we're all very upset about this, but we just can't go out killing people! As much as that might seem like a good idea, you killing people will just give the medical industry the excuse they are looking for not to deal with this disease. They'll simply say "see, we said he was crazy, and now he's proved it". And the disease will be swept under the rug again. Is that what you want? Violence is not the answer.

Regarding the person you got this from, it's impossible for that person to have intentionally given this to you, because it's impossible for that person to even know!

What else can be done to prove I have HIV? I am literally going insane not being able to prove this! I read about HTLV and I'm convince my symptoms line up with HIV but I can't prove it!

We've looked at several different types of tests:

1. Standard antibody test.
2. Western blot test.
3. PCR test.
4. New Brazilian test that is supposed to not have the fallacy of the antibody test.
5. Rat injection test where rats are injected with our blood develop HTLV antibodies.

The first three tests don't work, the last two test we don't have access to, so we won't know if they work until we try them.

Best wishes.

If I went to the emergency room telling them of my weakness and all my symptoms, would they do every test under the sun or would I end up home, them telling me I have to rest?

TRW,

It's a complete waste of time - emergency room or doctor's office, they aren't going to test you for HTLV. It's never considered as a cause of any illness, which is why it's spreading rampantly. And telling you to rest would be good compared to having you committed to an insane asylum.

Best wishes.

If I don't get help soon I'm going to end up insane anyway. I'd be safer in an insane asylum. I can't keep getting sicker and getting no medical attention. I will lose my mind.

A,

We're all in the same boat man. Your symptoms are the same as ours, even though I might get chastised for saying that. I know the guilt about infecting others, especially people you care about, is hard to live with. For me it's over fifty, so you can imagine how I feel. Where are you located?

Best wishes.
