hiv or htlv ?
She has what HIV or HTLV ?
I never heard of some that is monitoring his/her htlv viral load ? So what she has ? I'm not sure about htlv, it should be less contagious than HIV (7% in 5 years of constant relationship) however about HIV 1/100 * 5 (times you did it) however her viral load is near not existent and I believe your genitals have no sores. I'm not a professional, however, I highly doubt it.

And to Tonny I have read a lot of your posting you are very active about your condition and thank you for the effort however, I'm a little bit confused because you agree for all symptoms mentioned by the posters can you please describe the course of your disease and how long you are doctor suffering from it. I think part of the symptoms people describe are related to pure anxiety. Don't you ?

SF,

From your post, you sound like both a mathematician and a doctor - hope those pay well. And thanks for the anxiety diagnosis - you've just solved years of confusion for everyone here.

Everyone else,

Now that SF has figured out that our problem is anxiety, it's time for us to move on.

Best wishes.

Hi Tonny please forgive for being offensive, actually I want to ask you something how is your serum albumin and serum calcium and what strain do you have 1 or 2. Did you developed candidasis and did you had any type of ARS ? Do you suffer from lymphodenapathy ? Abdominal pain ? Back pain ? What are the levels of your fatigue ?

Haven't measured me calcium nor Albumin.

Don't know what strain I have - could be HTLV 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 (read the Poeisz paper where all FIVE strains are referenced).

Candida developed in the grion, mouth, and digestive tract.

Yes, lymph node pain. Yes, back pain. Yes fatigue.

Thank you, How you was diagnosed for the intestinal candida ?

Did you try antifungus ? Maybe it will improve your mood and overall feeling.

When I had candida overgrowth in my mouth I had a feeling of being drunk or there is aura above my head, so I treated it with vfend and the feeling improved. The brain fog disappeared along with the headache and tinnitus, now I'm only fatigued and legs are killing me.

Im sorry if i sounded a bit rude but i got a little offended.

for more then ten years i have been seeking the answer and im still seeking have to get a htlv test now.

I have probably used around 20000$ on supplements doctors and have even gone to other countrys for treatments.

The thing i reacted to was why i was worrying so much after 10 years. It feels like my body is wasting away day for day. And i dont want to be in a wheelchair any time soon, and i have a family to provide for.

Maybe this is rougher to some people i have been very ill, maybe it is different with different people co infections etc i also got lyme at the same time period.

Do you feel normal or have lots of symptoms ?

Dino,

I can relate on your point about wasting, I have the same problem - my arms, legs, shoulders, hip, and rear are being eaten away, along with back and walking problems. I also understand your point about different people having different levels of illness, i.e. Scared & AdviseMe might be suffering worse than me, but Ustas is doing better than me. I *DO NOT* feel normal at all, but the other 49 people I've infected feel fine, or are in complete denial that they are sick.

You & other people have spent large amounts of money on treatments, so I was wondering if you'd consider taking TAF, it's a new HIV drug from Gilead that has been shown effective against HTLV. The retail cost is $8,000 per year, and it is going through the phase 1 FDA approval process. The current version of the drug, Tenofovir TDF, has been FDA approved for years, but the newer version is more effective and less toxic.

Best wishes.

Hassan,

Of course it's not an anxiety problem - we are all truly infected, and truly sick. Like you, I wake up everyday with the same thought for myself, except you have to worry for your entire family. HTLV is a real disease with 25 million people infected. Just because the medical industry refuses to treat HTLV doesn't mean that it isn't a major public health problem.

I have strong feeling that all of us have a silent or late HIV virus where it cannot be ditected with antibody. It really rare but now i think i spread rapidly among the community. Hope Dr. do something to help people like us we cannot get any mendication at all because our negative test. The symptomp is developing day by day and weeken all the imune system.

People that unknow their status geting married n transfer it to the mother n the baby. Than another baby with knowing their negative HIV status.

I also donate blood but evrything was fine how cold they miss me if i have HIV.

I'm sorry, there is no such thing like silent HIV virus if you have symptoms and if it's really a HIV, antibodies would be detected, if it's other kind of retrovirus or bacterial infection like parasites possiable, however, it's not a HIV if you tested negative out of window period. There are thousands of parasites each with it's on toxins that affects our's CNS.

Hassan,

This is not HIV, and will not show up on an HIV test - it is HTLV and it is very hard to detect. The drugs that can treat this are Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate (TAF), and Azacytidine (AZA). TAF is one of the few HIV drugs that are effective against HTLV, and AZA is a drug used to treat leukemia / lymphoma.

Dear Depressman,

As I mentioned earlier, It is highly suspicious that this is a new strain of actinobacteria. This isolates form many saliva and stool samples in Chong Hing.

This actinobacteria brings many symptoms much similar to fungal infeaction.
Sensitive antibiotic to this are
Amoxicillin + Cluavic Acid
Clindamycin
Bactrim

This is a bacteria which could develop antibiotic resistance extremly easily. Years ago when i am not aware of this i have been taking clindamycin for aweek and my symptoms all dissapeared. However After two weeks they all come back and I was not aware of the antibiotic effect brought to me. Now This antibiotic no more sensitive to me

Hassan,

Doctor Bob was right, you do not have HIV. Ironically, Doctor Bob died suddenly from sepsis caused by HTLV. If you are going to have another baby, you should consider using AZT (and NOT breastfeeding) to prevent possible transmission of HTLV to your new baby. Alberto from Italy also transmitted HTLV to his wife and baby in this manner.

I have the same symptoms (ALL OF THEM), you should have a doctor test for FLOWER CELLS in a BLOOD SMEAR. When HTLV infects cells, these flower cells can appear in a blood smear test - THEY ARE NOT NORMAL to have. It is important that everyone in your family who has symptoms is tested with this test.

Hassan,

This is not HIV - you can take an HIV test every day of your life and it will not be positive, believe me. I've taken a dozen HIV tests, all negative, and so has everyone else here. However, several doctors such as Zucker-Franklin in New York and Poiesz in New York have published papers where they are finding variants of HTLV 1 & 2, which are being called HTLV 3,4, and 5. So the good news is that you don't have HIV, and the bad news is that you probably have HTLV, and the medical industry does not care about HTLV. Like with Ays and everyone else, I am suggesting that you get the flower cell blood smear test. If any of us test positive on this test, the doctors will not be able to tell us that we are crazy, it will be the beginning of convincing them that this is a real disease.

Best wishes.

Serologic testing for human T-lymphotropic virus-3 and -4
Human T-lymphotropic viruses (HTLVs) are a diverse group of deltaretroviruses that until recently included only two unique groups, HTLV-1 and HTLV-2.1,2 Both HTLV-1 and HTLV-2 are spread by sexual transmission, from mother to child, and by exposure to infective blood through transfusions and injection drug use.1,2 HTLV-1 and HTLV-2 are pathogenic—although in less than 5percent of infected persons—causing lympho- proliferative and inflammatory diseases. Thus, blood donated for transfusion is tested for potential HTLV infectivity in Japan and other countries in Asia, the United States, and Europe. Recently, two new, highly divergent HTLVs, designated HTLV-3 and HTLV-4, were identified in persons in Cameroon with exposure to pri- mates.3,4 HTLV-3 was found in two persons and HTLV-4 was found in a single individual.3,4 HTLV-3 is genetically similar to simian T-lymphotropic virus type 3 (STLV-3), whereas HTLV-4 is the only member of a novel deltaret- rovirus group that is equidistant from HTLV-1/STLV-1, HTLV-2/STLV-2, and HTLV-3/STLV-3 and does not have a known STLV counterpart.3,4 HTLV groups are currently classified with Arabic numerals following the guidelines of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses.5 The deltaretroviruses HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 should not be confused with HTLV-III and HTLV-IV because the latter are the original names given to the lentiviruses human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1 and HIV-2 because they were isolated from infected human T cells.6
The identification of these new divergent HTLVs raises questions whether they can be detected by current serologic assays for HTLV antibodies, which are licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for testing donated blood in the United States. Anti-HTLV-3 and anti- HTLV-4 antibodies were detected in plasma by screening with an HTLV-1 and -2 enzyme immunoassay (EIA; Vironostika HTLV-1/2 microELISA system, Organon Teknika, Durham, NC) or an HTLV-1 immunofluorescent assay (Table 1).3,4 It is not known, however, whether other blood screening assays can detect antibodies to these novel HTLVs.3,4 In addition, supplementary testing showed variable HTLV serotyping results for these African samples with an HTLV Western blot (HTLV WB2.4, Genelabs Diagnostics, Singapore), with the HTLV-3- infected samples being typed as indeterminate4 or HTLV- 1-like3 and the HTLV-4-infected sample giving an HTLV-2-like profile.3 These WB results may help to explain why these viruses have not been previously identified and suggest that additional HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 may be circu- lating undetected, incorrectly identified as either HTLV-1 or HTLV-2.
To evaluate whether other HTLV serologic assays can detect HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 and differentiate these viruses from HTLV-1 and HTLV-2, we tested plasma samples avail- able from two of the three infected persons from Cameroon3 with an FDA-licensed HTLV EIA (HTLV-1 and -2 EIA, Abbott Diagnostics, North Chicago, IL) and a supplementary research-based line immunoassay (LIA; INNO-LIA, Innogenetics, Ghent, Belgium). Like the FDA- licensed Vironostika EIA, the Abbott EIA uses an HTLV-1 and -2 viral lysate but does not include a recombinant HTLV-1 p21 envelope (Env) protein. INNO-LIA uses recombinant HTLV-1 and -2 generic and type-specific proteins and synthetic peptides placed in lines on a nylon membrane for the detection and discrimination of HTLV- 1 and -2. The research-based HTLV WB 2.4 employs an HTLV-1 lysate and HTLV-1 and HTLV-2 type-specific pep- tides for serotyping.
The HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 samples both reacted in the Abbott EIA with OD-to-cutoff ratios ranging from 1.7 to 3.6, respectively. The HTLV-3 sample gave a weak positive, but untypeable INNO-LIA profile, whereas the HTLV-4 specimen showed an HTLV-2-like INNO-LIA profile (Table 1). Plasma from the second HTLV-3-infected per- son (Pyl43) has been reported to have an HTLV-2-like INNO-LIA profile but is indeterminate in the HTLV WB 2.4 test.4
Both samples were detected by EIA testing, suggest- ing that the two new HTLV variants do not pose a diagnos- tic challenge for these two FDA-licensed HTLV EIAs used to test donated blood in the United States. The overall sensitivity of both EIAs for identifying HTLV-3- and HTLV- 4-infected samples is unknown, however, and requires testing of a larger number of specimens from HTLV-3- and HTLV-4-infected persons. The WB and INNO-LIA results demonstrate the need to design specific antibody assays to differentiate HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 from HTLV-1 and HTLV-2. The combination of accurate screening and improved supplementary tests to identify and differenti- ate the four HTLV groups will facilitate determination of the prevalence and risks for secondary transmission of these new viruses.

HTLV-3/STLV-3 and HTLV-4 Viruses: Discovery, Epidemiology, Serology and Molecular Aspects

It is also important to note that there is currently no serological test available for specifically screening HTLV-3/4 viruses [31]. In fact, because of the cross-reactivities between some HTLV-1/2 and HTLV-3/4 antigens, HTLV-1/2 commercial tests are routinely used for the detection of HTLV-3 and -4. However, the sensitivity of these screening assays for detecting these viruses has not been challenged [17,31]. For this reason, specific serological screening assays are needed. The use of generic PTLV PCR primers or of HTLV-3/4 specific primers is thus necessary so far for detecting and characterizing these viruses in large series of samples with various HTLV indeterminate serologies. Obviously, such an approach is costly and time consuming, and does not allow studies on a large number of samples. Regarding the presence of HTLV-3 and -4 outside Africa, two recent studies showed the absence of HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 infection in patients from the USA, who were suffering from large granular leukemia [35,36]. Furthermore, no evidence of HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 infection was found in subjects from New York, at risk for retroviral infection [37].

HTLV-3 is no longer used to label HIV, since three more variants of HTLV have been discovered, namely HLTV 3, 4, and 5. In addition to flower cell testing, the Loughran article mentions testing for P21e, K10, and BA21. This testing defines a group of people who have Large (i.e. flower cell) Granular Leukemia.

The deltaretroviruses HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 should not be confused with HTLV-III and HTLV-IV because the latter are the original names given to the lentiviruses human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1 and HIV-2 because they were isolated from infected human T cells.

Tony,

"HTLV-3 is no longer used to label HIV, since three more variants of HTLV have been discovered, namely HLTV 3, 4, and 5. In addition to flower cell testing, the Loughran article mentions testing for P21e, K10, and BA21. This testing defines a group of people who have Large (i.e. flower cell) Granular Leukemia."

Regarding the presence of HTLV-3 and -4 outside Africa, two recent studies showed the absence of HTLV-3 and HTLV-4 infection in patients from the USA, who were suffering from large granular leukemia.

I will not say i have HIV or HTLV until i am tested positive for either of them. I have tested negative for both and is just waiting for September to come where I'll be at a two years mark to test again. I will be testing for everything.

Ustas,
I think your approach to this is smart.
If everything comes back negative at the two year mark, further testing would be unwise. You should feel safe after that mark.

I hope everything goes good.

Ustas,

It took Alberto from Italy two years to test positive for HTLV, but only by the PCR test, the antibody test was still negative. Soon it will be two years for me as well, and I am seeking testing for HTLV 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, as well as HTLV particles p21e, K10, BA21 etc. Since this disease mimics HTLV very much, it's wise to explore all variants of HTLV and its particles.

Best wishes.

In fact, because of the cross-reactivities between some HTLV-1/2 and HTLV-3/4 antigens, HTLV-1/2 commercial tests are routinely used for the detection of HTLV-3 and -4.

Well that didn't work for Alberto, he only tested positive on the PCR test after two years, and then he developed Mycosis Fungoides after seven years. Nor the people in the French study, nor the people in the New York study by Doctor Zucker-Franklin. I posted all of these papers so that you could read them. But hey, it's all good.

Best wishes.

Tony,
Believe me i read your posts.
It mentioned how they were specifically tested for HTLV1,2,3,4 some where positive for HTLV 1,2 but none for 3 and 4, nothing was mentioned about HTLV5.
It also talked about HERV's which stand for human endegeonus retro virus, meaning everyone has these, most in an inactive state i believe some infections are capable of activating these HERV's.
Infections that could cause HERV's to activate maybe include HTLV and EBV at least.
Just sharing my opinion on your posts.
Obviously most of this has not been proven and we don't know for sure.

Well we just can't say that we're going to test at the two year point & call it a day - I wish that we could. HTLV is a big problem in Jamaica, and yet the Jamaican guy who's sick (Bresh) said that he never heard about it his entire life there, and hearing it from me was his first time. This tells me that every country in the world is burying any mention of HTLV. Sorry guys, but if you live in country that is endemic for HTLV and you never heard of it, something strange is happening. All I need is to find out that the same crap is happening in Brazil & Japan, and I will just sign myself into a mental hospital.

Best wishes.

I agree brother. I've also tested or both.

I'm not saying we are not sick but we don't know what it is.

Hassan,

It's not HIV - I believe that it's HTLV. I can't prove it, but if you try to get tested for that, it might be positive, although I doubt that too. Yes I have all of your symptoms. Be on the lookout for back and leg & walking problems too. This is a huge epidemic, if we have it, so do millions of other people.

Best wishes.

I wanted to tell you all that today I skipped taking the Curcumin, and my stools were terrible. This to remind everyone to get in the habit of taking curcumin / tumeric tablets if you want to have decent stools again.

Best wishes.
