Given the symptom you provided, there is a possibility that you might be experiencing depression due to epilepsy. Depression might be caused by the same reason that caused epilepsy like: difficult birth, head trauma or stroke. On the other hand, certain anti-epileptic drugs like barbiturates can cause depression. This form is dose-related and can be easily treated if the dose is changed. In addition, in people with epilepsy, depression may be a psychological reaction to having the condition or being treated differently than the others, especially in “vulnerable” life periods as adolescence.

You might want to visit a doctor to change the dose of the drugs, if necessary. Do not change the dose by yourself. A visit to a psychotherapist might also give excellent results.
