What are the surgical causes of loose motion? how it can be diagnosed and treated? thank you.

Digestive and Bowel Disorders Answer A7027

If you are referring to diarrhea, there are very few "surgical illnesses" that cause chronic diarrhea other than, perhaps, carcinoid syndrome or Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (most causes of chronic diarrhea are due to medically-treated conditions). Rarely, diverticulitis may also be associasted with chronic loose stools.
