Q: Causes of link light brown discharge

about a month ago i had a pregnancy scare
i did not have sex but some got on inside my vaginal area
my period was late but i did get it
it was very light and lasted 6days
now [about two weeks later]
my vaginal area is very red and ichy
also im geting alot of lightpink to light brown discharge
its enough were i have to wear a tampon
im also experiencing cramps [similar to menstration cramps] and a very tender stomach
im not sure whats going on with me but im very worried and hope someone can help with this
i doubt it is an std because i am the only person my boyfriend has ever done anything [more than a kiss] with
just someone please help

This sounds like you might have a yeast infection or some other type of bacterial infection if you are red and itchy. The light pink/brown discharge is most likely just old menstrual blood, or an oncoming early period. It sounds like you are both being safe so I would not worry about stds, but I would still go to a doctor if you continue to itch a lot so you can rule out any infections and get medicine to feel better.
