Causes of constant headaches Posted: 04-13-08 13:52pm
A friend of mine has been having constant
headaches, all day everyday for about 5 or
more months now. he's gone to a number of
doctors and specialists. They put him on
extra strength tylenol and a soft morphine
among others. They did find sinusitis and
it did clear up two months ago, but the
headaches never went away. Since then they
have done MRI, scans and tested him for
cancer as well as other serious
possibilities, but they still can't find
any reason why. And now the doctors say
there's nothing else they can do and that
he's just going to have to deal with it.
Does anybody have any other explaination
for this the the doctors might have
possibly forgotten or missed????? Im
worried about him!!!

Hi and welcome
Did the doctors check for any type of
vitamin deficiencies? They can check this
with blood work.
Does your friend have allergies? Is his
work environment clean, are there any
chemicals he is exposed to?
He should not have to deal with this, no
one should deal with any discomfort. I get
frustrated when I hear this. You are a
caring friend to be looking for
answers..

If they found sinusitis...it should have
shown up in his MRI as well? I was
misdiagnosed for YEARS with sinusitis and
then I went to an ENT and he told me that
if you have sinus problems extensive
enough to bring you to him/her that they
should show up SOMEWHERE/SOMEHOW on the
MRI? So I would look further into
that...
Also if the headaches are daily...I just
found out that I was suffering from
something called Transformed Migraines.
Daily Migraines that tend to worsen in
your 20s or 30s...so it's worth it to talk
to him about it and research it. I found
out a lot on my own just researching on
the internet in order to have a "knowledge
base" to ask my Neurologist questions.
There is absolutely no need for him to
suffer like that if something can be done
so props to you for trying!!!!!
You're a wonderful friend. He is lucky to
have you! Let me know if I can help at
all.
