Current medical status: blood in the urine
Blood in the urine can be caused by several reasons: urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or another more serious condition. If the urinary tract infection is located in the bladder or in the urethra, then it might be accompanied with a discharge, painful and/or frequent urination. When kidney stones try to move through the ureters, a severe pain is present. However, when not moving, blood in the urine might be the only symptom. In case of a tumor, blood in urine is usually the first symptom that urges the patient to seek medical help. Sometimes weeks might mean a lot in this condition.
In the end, it can not be told for sure which of the above or other conditions causes the blood in urine without further examination. It might be wise to check it with a doctor as soon as possible, just to be on the safe side.
