Abdominal Pain Answer A5166
Abdominal pain in your left side under the ribcage that is provoked by certain foods and alcohol could be due to stomach inflammation (gastritis).

You can request a Helicobacter pillory examination and you could avoid alcohol. If therapy (proton pump inhibitors or H2-blockers) doesn’t help you could request an upper endoscopy (gastroduodenoscopy).
