Q: Causes for a headache
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 5th, 2008
I have had chronic headaches since january above my right eye. I have seen my doctor and a neurologist who has done mri's of the spine and head. Everything came out fine. The last mri came out with a herniated disk I think l5 and l7. I went to physical therapy which helped a little for the headaches but my headaches are getting worse again. I am also having pain in my right side above my pelvis and under my ribs when i am sleeping. I also have a little disconfert there when I carry my 2year old. I have never had this problem and do not currently take any medications. Could this be something with my gallbladder or kidneys causing my headaches?

It is very hard to say what is really causing your headache but it is very unlikely that any kidney or gallbladder disorder can cause a headache.

A herniated disk on the neck spine could cause a headache.
